Question: how much for the 15000 mile service
I paid $560 at Universal Subaru for the 15,000 mi. service on my 2005 forester xt which seems really expensive. Caould this be right?

It depends on what was done. You can see the maintenance schedule in the service your forester section at driverside. Here you can also see estimates for various types of servicing and repair.
